Introduction to orthotics: a clinical reasoning and problem-solving approach

This textbook covers all aspects of orthotic theory and skills. Unit one covers orthotic foundations including occupation centered intervention, tools and techniques, anatomical and biomechanical principles, clinical examination. Unit two covers conditions and populations including orthoses for the wrist, thumb, hand, elbow, shoulder fingers, older adults and paediatric populations. Unit three covers lower extremity orthotics, casting, upper extremity prosthetics, professional development in upper extremity rehabilitation.
