Faith and ethics in health and social care

Care facilities often reflect the multifaith and multicultural nature of society. Because of their diverse populations of health and social care staff and the varied lives and backgrounds of the care-recipients, questions of faith and ethics necessarily arise.
This book, written by medical, nursing and social care practitioners from 11 different world faiths, helps health and social care-givers to articulate and reflect on how their faith informs the way they work. It also aids the development of understanding of the ethical and pastoral choices made by their colleagues and care-recipients from other faith traditions. The book equips care practitioners to be more reflective about matters of ethics, faith and care and to feel more confident concerning their own and their colleagues' underpinning beliefs.
