520 ## - ABSTRACT
Abstract Multiple choice questions (MCQs) and extended matching item (EMI) questions are the format of question used in undergraduate psychiatry written exams in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. This book consists of a collection of MCQs and EMIs covering all areas of psychiatry and will help medical students to revise for and optimise their performance in undergraduate exams.MCQs are the 'best of five' style, as used in many current undergraduate psychiatry exams ('true' or 'false' style questions are no longer used). All questions are in keeping with the latest research and clinical concepts in psychiatry. Questions are grouped by subject and get progressively harder through each chapter. The answers are given along with explanations, plus references and suggestions for further reading.Students from other countries can also benefit from the self-testing format of the book as practising MCQs is a superb way to reinforce knowledge.
